Healio Strategic Solutions is looking for a Director, Business Development & Market Strategy to help with selling strategic services to the pharmaceutical and device industries with specific emphasis on non-CME, educational activities and display advertising through all media formats and live events.
- Selling non-CME custom programs as well as print and digital advertising to all pharmaceutical, medical device and related companies targeting the ophthalmology and optometry specialties and within the assigned territory.
- Prospect for new business through competitive analysis, phone, e-mail and face-to-face.
- Maintain and grow existing business through extensive market research, practiced sales skills, timely and effective follow up and a strong work ethic.
- Travel to conventions to meet with existing and prospective clients.
- Travel to meet with existing and prospective clients at their place of business.
- Meet your sales objectives and goals.
- Keep your Outlook calendar up-to-date always.
- All other duties assigned by your manager.
- Proven experience in new-business development, achieving sales goals, and managing personal sales strategies along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum 7 years sales experience.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to do extensive traveling, including overnight and weekend travel, and possible necessary travel on holidays or personal commitment dates.
