Description

Healio News is seeking an experienced and energetic Staff Writer for a leading medical newspaper and website.

The Staff Writer will be responsible for writing timely, accurate, and relevant content for a physician audience.

Responsibilities include:

  • daily news coverage on the latest research and trends in hematology and oncology
  • interviewing and developing relationships with key opinion leaders
  • traveling to and producing live coverage at major medical meetings

Requirements include:

  • strong reporting background
  • impeccable writing skills
  • must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • at least 5 years of writing experience medical writing/editing experience preferred
  • degree in Journalism, English, or other related field
  • a desire to work in a fast-paced news environment

Position requires travel, including some weekends.
