Vindico Medical Education Abstract Presentation During ObesityWeek® 2022
November 1, 2022
Thorofare, NJ – Vindico Medical Education, a Wyanoke Group company, is pleased to announce that their abstract Identifying Interprofessional Drivers of Practice Gaps in the Management of Patients With Obesity will be presented during ObesityWeek® 2022, held by The Obesity Society.
Katie Robinson, PhD, Senior Director, Outcomes and Analytics, will present the abstract Identifying Interprofessional Drivers of Practice Gaps in the Management of Patients With Obesity on Thursday, November 3 with full poster and audio recording available through the virtual conference. The abstract demonstrates that although pharmacists, physicians, and advanced practice providers have adequate knowledge about anti-obesity medications, they lack comfort in using these agents, resulting in underuse when treating patients with overweight or obesity. The abstract also reports the inadequate use of shared decision-making and interprofessional care strategies. Vindico will use these findings to refine the development of interprofessional continuing education for the treatment of patients with overweight or obesity.
ObesityWeek® is home to the latest developments in evidence-based obesity science, including cutting-edge basic and clinical research, state-of-the-art obesity treatment and prevention, and the latest efforts in advocacy and public policy.
