Healio Announces Newest Resource: Women in Allergy

Thorofare, NJ – This month, Healio announced the launch of a new signature collection, Women in Allergy. This collection of content aims to advance the work of women in the field of allergy and asthma by providing insights for overcoming challenges and assistance in achieving better health care.
Leading Women in Allergy as Consulting Medical Editor is Priya J. Bansal, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI. Bansal is an allergist and immunologist at the Asthma and Allergy Wellness Center in Saint Charles, Illinois and a faculty member at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. Joining Bansal is a distinguished team of eight Peer Perspective Board members.
“Women in allergy and immunology are a rapidly growing population with unique needs and challenges,” said Bansal. “I partnered with Healio to advance this initiative to showcase women’s successes in research and practice advancement, highlight issues such as career development and advancement hurdles for women, and feature articles on women’s health. We plan to engage you where you want to be. Whether that’s short videos, podcasts or articles, we hope to bring you all of it.”
Women in Allergy joins the ranks of Healio’s other women-focused initiatives, including Women in Oncology and Women in Ophthalmology. These resources celebrate the accomplishments of women physicians and provides advice and pearls of wisdom for all levels of physicians, from those just beginning their careers to those well advanced in the field.
