Nephrology News & Issue’s Editor-in-Chief Receives Prestigious Nostradamus Award

Thorofare, NJ – Healio is excited to announce that Mark E. Neumann, Editor-in-Chief of Nephrology News & Issues, has been awarded the Nostradamus Award by the National Kidney Foundation’s Council of Advanced Practitioners (CAP).
The Council of Advanced Practitioners (CAP) established the Nostradamus Award to be given annually to an individual, group of individuals, or organization that, through forethought and vision, recognizes, supports, and promotes the contributions of advanced practitioners (APs) in nephrology.
“I am pleased to receive this award from the NKF Council of Advanced Practitioners. APs play an important role in managing patients with kidney disease in the clinic and as part of the nephrology practice,” said Neumann, “They have a strong influence on patient care decisions, and I am glad CAP has recognized the work we do at Healio Nephrology in covering important issues for the AP.”
Neumann will be presented with the award at the CAP Networking Reception on Friday, April 8, 2022, during the NKF Spring Clinical Meetings, April 6-10, in Boston, Massachusetts.
Neumann began as editor-in-chief of Nephrology News & Issues in 1989 and has finetuned the magazine’s content with a focus on providing readers with updates on clinical developments as well as regulatory, economic, and legislative news that impacts the nephrology practice and the kidney care team. Under Healio Nephrology, he brings that broad approach to covering the specialty to online readers as well. He has been an invited speaker at numerous nephrology conferences during his tenure as editor and is also a past recipient of the Medal of Excellence Award from the American Association of Kidney Patients.
