Tony Schiavo Promoted to Senior Vice President, SLACK Books

Thorofare, NJ – SLACK Incorporated, a Wyanoke Group company, is pleased to announce the promotion of Tony Schiavo to Senior Vice President, SLACK Books. In his new role, Tony will be responsible for guiding and developing the SLACK Books team and its focus on growing their adoption book lines and expanding digital product sales.
Schiavo has been with SLACK for eight years, most recently as Vice President, Acquisitions, where he led the strategic targeting, forecasting, acquisition, and development of new titles for all SLACK Books lines and supervised the Acquisitions staff. Schiavo has forged strong relationships with authors in diverse specialty areas, developing SLACK’s highly regarded textbook lines in physical therapy and occupational therapy and launching a new special education textbook series. Before joining SLACK in 2014, he was a marketing representative for Taylor and Francis’s social science book lines and marketing manager for Jessica Kingsley Publishers.
