Vindico Medical Education Poster Presentation During American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2023

November 10, 2023

Thorofare, NJ – Vindico Medical Education, A Wyanoke Company, is excited to announce that their poster titled “Using Interprofessional Continuing Education to Identify and Address Knowledge and Practice Gaps Regarding Lipoprotein(a) as a Cardiovascular Risk Factor” will be presented during American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2023 on Saturday, November 11th.

American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2023 is the premier global event for advancements in cardiovascular science and medicine. It will be held November 11-14, 2023, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Vindico poster highlights the impact of a comprehensive interprofessional continuing education program on awareness of the clinical significance of lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)], how to test for Lp(a) and in whom, as well as the management of patients with elevated Lp(a). While baseline understanding of these topics was low, there was a 50% increase in knowledge post-education, which translated into planned practice improvements, potentially benefiting about 6500 patients per month. As data regarding new options to manage Lp(a) continue to emerge, additional education will be necessary to facilitate the use of the latest evidence-based care.

Katie Robinson, PhD, CHCP; Senior Director, Outcomes and Analytics; Vindico Medical Education, will present the poster in Philadelphia on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
