Vindico Medical Education Poster Presentation During ObesityWeek® 2023
October 17, 2023
Thorofare, NJ – Vindico Medical Education, A Wyanoke Company, is excited to announce that their poster, in partnership with American Family Care, titled “Coupling Continuing Education With EMR Analysis to Identify Drivers of Anti-Obesity Medication Use“ will be presented during ObesityWeek® 2023.
ObesityWeek® is the preeminent international conference for obesity researchers and clinicians. It will be held October 14-17, 2023, in Dallas, Texas.
This poster highlights the impact of interprofessional continuing medical education on the management of patients with obesity who were seen at American Family Care clinics, with data quantified via electronic medical records queries. Importantly, there was an increase in the use of newer anti-obesity medications in the post-education period compared with the baseline time period. In addition, patients with comorbidities that conferred higher risk for adverse outcomes due to obesity were treated at a higher rate versus those without additional risk factors. Collectively, these findings highlight the potential benefits of interprofessional continuing medical education toward improving clinical decision-making within a healthcare network.
Hannah Collier, Senior Director, Educational Strategy, Vindico Medical Education, will present the poster in Dallas on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
